Private Cook – holiday villa shopping & catering

Phuket is teeming with restaurant choices from extreme high end to street food stalls and markets but once you find yourself enjoying the splendours of Villa Oriole you may well find that you don't want to leave. This is where our private cook service comes in. You may wish to rustle up meals for yourselves by taking advantages of the fully fitted Western kitchen but why not take advantage of our in house catering services?

Private Cook Service - for Thai meals and BBQs

With the emphasis as much on service as on the villa itself you will typically be greeted with a refreshing drink on arrival and can take advantage of requesting our cook to prepare and serve a selection of Thailand’s world famous exotic dishes from the spicy Som Tam (Papaya Salad) to the popular Green Thai Curry and finish your meal with Thailand's number one delicious dessert, Mango and Sticky Rice. For a more relaxed meal our cook can prepare a typical BBQ with a selection of meat, fish, seafood and salads.

We call upon the services of one of our team of private cooks, all local ladies who have been cooking Thai food all their lives, be it at home or in local eateries. It is amazingly simple food yet packed with flavours you will crave for years to come, relying on local herbs, spices, pastes and fresh produce bought at market. With adequate notice (usually 24 hours) you can make your meal selections either from the printed menus when you arrive or in advance on this website. You may use the booking form on this page to secure your private cook.

Many of our guests choose to have one of our cooks come in every day to have a leisurely lunch prepared or fabulous evening meal awaiting them after enjoying a day on the beach.

As a guideline this service will cost between 1,500 THB and 3,000 THB per day depending upon number of guests and number of dishes required. Ingredient prices are handled separately (see link above)

Personal Chef Service - for Western Meals or something extra special

Should you prefer to have Western foods prepared by a recommended chef we can arrange this for you but will need, at minimum, 24 hours notice. Prices for this service are dealt with on an ad hoc basis and we will be happy to discuss your requirements and supply a quotation accordingly. Suffice to say that Villa Oriole will rise to the occasion and provide you with an evening of excellent cuisine to truly remember!
